Located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Los Cabos was the land of the Pericue Indians until the Europeans arrived from Spain in 1533. It was nearly another hundred years before the conquerors where able to dominate the fierce Indians and establish the Jesuit mission of San Jose del Cabo Añuiti in the 1730’s.

Los Cabos was a quiet fishing village only thirty years ago. In the early 1980’s FONATUR developed modern day Cabo, now recognized as the newest and most exclusive destination in Mexico.

These days you can still enjoy the rich Mexican culture in this picturesque town with narrow streets and colonial architecture, including traditional and local events on the main square every Thursday, Sunday and on any Mexican holiday.

Los Cabos is comprised of San José del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor, and Cabo San Lucas, and offers a combination of desert and breathtaking views from the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, not to mention the most exclusive hotels, renowned golf courses, residential and fractional ownership properties, and a wide selection of activities from water sports to eco-adventures, and historical sites to unique venues for events.

San Jose del Cabo:
An authentic picturesque Mexican town, with the best dining options, San Jose del Cabo is only steps away from the main square plaza and municipal offices, the important Mission Church of San Jose del Cabo Añuiti, traditional shopping and art galleries.
Tourist corridor:
An approximate 23 kilometers between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas is divided into 6 of the most exclusive complexes where you can find five hotels belonging to the “Leading Hotels of the World” brand – from five stars up to grand and special categories.
Cabo San Lucas at Land’s End
The pride and joy of Los Cabos is its unique signature landmark, “Arch of Cabo San Lucas”, also known as Land’s End (which translates to Finisterra). Now the most popular town in Los Cabos, San Lucas is where cruise ships arrive and party seekers come to party. With some of the best fishing year ‘round, it hosts the world’s biggest and most lucrative fishing tournaments, held every year in the Cabo San Lucas marina.

Todos Santos: Home of the artist
Recently named a cultural town, Todos Santos is located on the Pacific side at only a one-hour/20-minute drive from Cabo San Lucas. The journey is well worth it: once you start towards Todos Santos the views of the Pacific Ocean are breathtaking, and the emerging “Sierra de la Giganta” and contrasting vegetation are incredible.
